Press: Millie nominated for a SAG Award

Stranger Things actress Millie Bobby Brown has been nominated for Best Female Actor in a Drama Series at the Screen Actors Guild awards for the second year running.

The British actress, 13, beat her co-star Winona Ryder (who plays Joyce Byers) to the nomination, despite both of them being up for a nomination in the same category at the SAGs last year.

Millie – who plays character Eleven – will compete alongside Claire Foy, Laura Linney, Elisabeth Moss and Robin Wright for the accolade. Her Stranger Things co-star David Harbour (Jim Hopper) was nominated for Male Actor in a Drama Series.

The 80s-set Netflix series also received a nomination for Best Ensemble in a Drama Series, alongside The Crown, Game of Thrones, The Handmaid’s Tale and This Is Us.

Stranger Things’ SAG nominations comes after it received two Golden Globe nods earlier this week.

The show itself is up for Best Television Series — Drama and will compete alongside fellow Netflix series The Crown, as well as Game of Thrones, The Handmaid’s Tale and This Is Us.
The SAG awards 2018 will take place on the 21st January.
